Nestled in the heart of downtown, The Ballroom at Bayou Place offers an elegant space in the city's most impressive setting for a memorable reception. Often referred to as “The Ballroom,” it is a venue designed with the guest experience in mind. The Ballroom can host large weddings and events, with space to host your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one location, but is equally capable of hosting the most intimate gatherings.

Located in Houston’s Theatre District, The Ballroom is downtown’s largest private event venue. With floor-to-ceiling windows, gorgeous chandeliers, and sweeping balconies, guests are treated to a striking backdrop of the Houston skyline for an unforgettably chic cocktail hour or reception in any season. The venue can be decorated however you choose, with high ceilings and plenty of room for staging for your ceremony, live entertainment and dance floor.  An open-air environment can also be created, and indoor-outdoor bars allow your guests to mingle and enjoy the balmy evening breeze.

The Ballroom provides onsite liquor service with a variety of packages and works with a selection of Houston's premier caterers. Valet and garage parking with direct access to the venue allows your guests to arrive and depart in comfort and convenience.  The events team has extensive event production experience, so you can be assured that your wedding and reception will be handled attentively and professionally, with the knowledge and resources to make it truly spectacular!
