Courtney + Chris
Courtney, a neonatal nurse, and Chris, a senior production manager, met through mutual friends and enjoyed a comfortable friendship for quite some time. Sparks flew when Courtney returned to Houston after being away at school. One evening, on the eve of a romantic cruise, Chris popped the question at a seaside Galveston restaurant. He thoughtfully chose this spot rather than on the ship so Courtney could reach her family and share the good news. The couple chose the Ballroom at Bayou Place for their wedding and turned to Kirksey Gregg Productions for the design and decor. "My husband has been a production manager for weddings in the past," says Courtney. "He knows the stress and effort that goes into every detail, so we immediately turned to Kirksey Gregg. Kirksey took my wedding magazine clippings and Pinterest boards and transformed them into my dream wedding draped in chandeliers, rose gold and the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen!" The navy and metallic decor perfectly complemented the upscale ambiance of the venue. The couple celebrated with 200 of their nearest and dearest, amongst gorgeous blossoms, under sparkling chandeliers, and danced the night away on "our amazing techno colored dance floor," against a backdrop of the Houston skyline. "We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding," says Courtney and acknowledges "There were so many people who helped put a special touch on our special day."
