Who says cheap wings and 99-cent margaritas can’t possibly lead to true love? Neither Iris nor James, that’s for sure. The lovebirds, who met randomly at a Pasadena, Texas, Western bar, “hung out all night that night, and have been hanging ever since,” Iris says. In 2012, James surprised Iris at her “Ugly Christmas Sweater” graduation party, bearing a piñata filled with faux diamonds and ring pops. “I finally got to take my blindfold off, and James went down on his knee and proposed to me in front of everyone,” Iris recalls. “And, of course, tears, happiness and Facebook posts ensued.” The couple’s vintage-elegant wedding, with its shades of coral, ivory and gray, and its touches of burlap and lace, was the perfect expression of their tastes, and their love. Iris says she’ll never forget “running through the corridor of ribbon wands during our final send-off.”

Kayla and Billy met during her freshman year at East Texas Baptist University at a mentoring event. “He came over to talk to me and I was too shy. He tried and tried all night and I still wouldn’t talk to him,” says Kayla. Although she did not give Billy any attention at the event, as soon as she went home Kayla did what every girl would do: told her roommate everything! They soon started a Facebook search for Billy and sent a friend request, which led to messaging and eventually dating. Billy set up a sweet proposal adventure for Kayla while riding a four-wheeler on his best friend’s land. The lovebirds read through their journal and scriptures underneath a tree adorned with candles and mason jars (AWW!). Before Kayla could get through the second page, Billy was on one knee ready to propose. From its serene gold-accented palette, to its seasonal menu of roasted corn chowder and beef tenderloin with wild-mushroom-and-onion risotto, to its crystal chandeliers and soft candlelight, Hayley and Jeffrey’s fall wedding is pretty much a perfect example of how to do fall elegance fabulously. The couple, who met on a blind date (!!)—which led to a second date the very next day—wanted their marriage celebration to be not just full of love, but utterly timeless. “This was by far the happiest and most perfect day of my life,” says Houston bride Megan. “My fairy tale wedding came true.” Nothing could delight us more…except, perhaps, getting to look at photos of Megan and James’ vintage-elegant wedding celebration, in shades of champagne, ivory and coral. There’s a certain, special, sense-of-mystery romance that only online dating can create. Just ask recent bride Vanessa, who spoke by phone to eHarmony match Eric almost every day for THREE MONTHS before meeting him face-to-face. Luckily, their in-person meeting was just as romantic as those many, many phone calls, and almost two years to the day they first laid eyes on each other, the pair wed in front of 250 loved ones at a magnificent Madera Estates celebration. While Vanessa says that selecting her song list and making her seating chart were no piece of cake, the wedding itself was pure sweetness, done up in elegant shades of ivory and blush, Vanessa radiant in her Maggie Sottero gown from Brickhouse Bridal.
