McKenzie and David met in 2017 on the last night of a cruise vacation. However, due to Hurricane Harvey, the cruise was extended by a week, giving the pair ample time to get to know one another. Flash forward to April 1, 2020, when David surprised McKenzie with a romantic proposal at a beautiful park with a few of their friends. “I remember looking at him and thinking to myself, “this…I need to remember this,” says McKenzie.
Tori and Miles first met at Baylor University in their law school orientation, which later led to a series of dates that never ended. On Valentine’s Day in 2020, on a trip to a law school competition, Tori was walking the bustling streets of New York City with her classmates. Her flight was scheduled for later that day back to Waco, where Miles was waiting. However, her classmates and family had another plan in mind for her. Tori mindlessly followed the group of students on the way to a brunch spot which happened to be tucked near a stunning view of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline, which lead to the perfect picture opportunity for the group. “Once I started going down the stairs, I saw Miles. I immediately started crying happy tears because I knew what would happen. He proposed down by the river with a gorgeous backdrop, and both of our families were there to see it,” says Tori. Four years ago, Madison, a nurse practitioner from Seattle, and Emmanuel, a doctor from Ecuador, met at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. After just a few dates, Madison knew she had found her “McDreamy.” A proposal followed on a beautiful evening at a beach in Mexico, with a radiant sunset as the backdrop.
The couple planned for their wedding to be in February 2020, but as you can imagine, for two medical pros working at the largest cancer center in the U.S. during the pandemic, their wedding plans came to a halt. “We made the difficult decision to delay our wedding to not only keep our family and friends safe but also the patients we work with at the cancer center,” Madison says.
After a lively night of dancing at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Jennifer and Edgar knew that they were meant to be together.

“Brett proposed in the most thoughtful way I could imagine,” explained Kirsten while reminiscing on her sweet San Antonio, Texas engagement. Brett popped the big question in the first place they said, “I love you.” The couple enjoyed the intimate moment together before joining their family and friends for a surprise engagement party at the historic Hotel Emma. Later, Kirsten and Brett would find out her parents spent their honeymoon in the same spot Brett proposed.
