When Devin first noticed Rachel, she was already wearing a white dress and veil. At the time, the pair were just 13 years old, but even still, Devin knew he’d marry that girl someday. And that’s exactly what he did! While Devin and Rachel dated for a few months, about a year later, they broke up because of the long-distance. But, in typical millennial fashion, Devin and Rachel connected through social media again in 2017. “One DM on Instagram, and less than a year later, we were engaged!” said Rachel.

The proposal was nothing short of magical. The couple was on a trip to the US Virgin Islands when Devin had Rachel follow a fun scavenger hunt, hop on a boat, and venture to a private island. With the whole beach to themselves, Devin popped the question, and Rachel happily said yes! With such a thoughtful, intimate engagement, it only fits that their wedding was the same.

For Kristi and Will, it was love at first swipe. After matching on Hinge, the couple met for their first date on October 1, 2015 at West Alabama Ice House. As Kristi and Will started dating, she fell in love with his kindness and he adored her sense of humor. Then, four years after they met—and in the exact spot in the parking lot where they first saw each other—Will asked Kristi to marry him. Just over a year later, the couple tied the knot during this charming lilac and ivory wedding.

Kristi and Will’s ceremony was so romantic! Before the couple’s 50 closest family and friends joined them on beautiful Lake Travis in Austin, Texas for the waterfront nuptials, Will fell head over heels for his soon-to-be bride all over again during the first look. Kristi’s bridal style was so elegant with a half updo full of curls, her gorgeous lace wedding dress, and her lush, full bouquet by Malleret Designs! The bridal bouquet was stunning, featuring ivory and mauve roses with vibrant pops of lilac amid trendy eucalyptus sprigs.

What sprouted as a high school romance blossomed into Mary Margaret and Daniel’s quintessential love story and beautiful wedding. In their junior year of high school, Daniel asked Mary Margaret to attend a pool party together with mutual friends. A few years later, Daniel rented the patio at Mary Margaret’s favorite restaurant for just the two of them and popped the question. Afterward, an intimate celebratory dinner, they joined their families who were waiting inside at the bar. “It was the best night ever!” explained Mary Margaret. The best day ever? The big one, of course!

The couple married at the ornate Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houston. Traditional white wedding floral arrangements bursting with roses and candle-lit lanterns lined the aisle. Mary Margaret carried her something borrowed—her mother’s Rosary Beads—wrapped around her white rose bouquet. But the bride’s favorite floral arrangement cascaded from the ceiling at the reception.

Despite growing up over 7,000 miles apart, it was destiny that brought Andrea and Vincent together. Andrea grew up on a farm in Kansas, eventually leaving the countryside to pursue a career in the hotel sales industry in New York City. Similar reasons brought Vincent to The Big Apple. While he grew up in Belgium, a career in the hotel industry also brought him to New York.

When Vincent first moved to the city, one of his coworkers suggested he meet up with Andrea who used to work there too and could offer some great insights. Vincent agreed, and the coworker called Andrea to set everything up (what a great matchmaker, right?). Initially, Andrea had just returned from the Kentucky Derby and wasn’t much interested in grabbing drinks the very next Monday. But, she finally caved and agreed to meet this mystery man.

Blush, White And Burgundy Garden Wedding At Kemah Gardens

Venue: Kemah Gardens | Photo: Rachel Driskell Photography

Brittany and Zach met in middle school and quickly became best friends. Fast forward to their senior year homecoming dance where Zach took the first step towards love by asking Brittany to dance. “With the nudge from my mother and best friend, I agreed to risk the closest friendship I ever had for a chance at love,” recalls the bride. “Later that night, he formally asked me to be his girlfriend, and 8 years later that friendship is still the biggest foundation of our love together.” During the winter of 2017, Grant talked Brittany into going to a last-minute photo session saying his mother wanted family portraits. Although annoyed at the 24-hour notice, Brittany quickly found an outfit and arrived at the session where the photographer asked the couple to write down what they love most about one another on a chalkboard while standing back to back. “When I turned around his board read ‘that she has no idea I’m about to propose’ and he was down on one knee holding that sign,” says Brittany. “Who couldn’t say yes to that!”

For their garden wedding at picturesque Kemah Gardens, the couple came up with unique wedding ideas to celebrate their nuptials in a “different” way. Notes the bride: “Our seating chart was a crossword puzzle you had to play to find your seats, our sign-in board was a glass infinity symbol that encompassed our fingerprints in the loops, and at the ceremony we did a lock-and-key board, throwing the key in the lake behind us and our board had a Harry Potter quote we both loved. For our first dance, we choreographed our dance with a waltz and added some sign language because it was one of our favorite classes together in high school.” A beautiful palette of blush and white with touches of burgundy and lots of vinery set the tone for a garden wedding celebration. Following a romantic outdoor ceremony beneath Kemah Gardens’ flower-adorned vintage arbor, the couple joined 100 of their loved ones for a relaxing and fun reception in the wedding venue’s comfortable, climate-controlled pavilion. Says Brittany, “The whole thing was just an absolutely beautiful day with just enough unique surprises to make it our own!” Join us in wishing this sweet couple a lifetime of love and scroll down to see their romantic garden wedding. Congratulations, Brittany & Zach!
