Bahareh + James
After a surprise proposal at the bride’s home, with family nearby to capture the moment on camera, Bahareh and James celebrated their union with a dazzling series of family centered events. “I loved that the weekend was three full days of celebration,” says the bride. “Each day and night was so special, and so much fun!” After an intimate Catholic ceremony and family dinner on Thursday, the pair hit the town with a wider circle of friends, enjoying dancing and drinks at Armando’s. At Friday’s welcome party at The Dunlavy, guests mingled, relaxed and danced the night away beneath the twinkling chandeliers. The couple's Saturday wedding brought together 300 guests, and started with a traditional Persian ceremony, where the elaborate Sofreh Aghd featured pieces handmade by the bride's mother. For this very special occasion, Bahareh wore a magnificent high-necked Romona Keveza gown from Joan Pillow Bridal Salon. A lively reception followed, with a menu featuring filet mignon, Persian sweet rice and many desserts—including a show-stopping cake from Susie’s Cakes & Confections—plus late-night eats to fuel celebrating guests. A live band, brought in from New York, sang in four languages, and kept the crowd on their feet well into the wee hours. Notes the bride, “I wanted to do the whole weekend, especially Saturday night, a hundred times over again!”
