Jaclyn and Chris’ simple yet elegant vintage wedding is giving us all the feels. With divine blush and ivory florals from Haute Flowers & Events, rose-gold accents and tons of natural lighting, the pair gave an airy modern touch to their vintage wedding theme. “The exposed brick, chandeliers and vintage mirrors on site were perfect for that antique vibe I was looking for,” say the bride. And Jaclyn absolutely glowed in her diaphanous Maggie Sottero gown. Following a sweet ceremony, 100 close friends and family joined the new Mr. and Mrs. for a charming tented garden reception. As a unique personal touch to end out the night, the couple took a Star Wars-inspired exit with a lightsaber salute from guests! “Aside from all the sparkles, details and decor, marrying Chris was the absolute best moment of all.” Aww, a big congratulations to this lovely couple!

After meeting through mutual friends, Michael and Kelley found themselves smitten with each other, right from the get-go. Their connection soon turned into romance, and after five happy years, Michael decided it was time to make things official. One fateful day after brunch, Michael and Kelley took their dog, Dunkin, out for a walk…which ultimately turned into a memory Kelley will always cherish, after Kelley noticed a pink heart tag on the dog’s collar that read, “Mom, can we keep him?” and on the other side, “Will you marry me?” OK, guys, how sweet is that? Michael’s creative proposal worked, and the following May, Kelley and Michael tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at the same church where the bride’s parents had been married. The pair’s spring Astorian wedding reception had it all, from the elegant decor and the spectacular city view, to fantastic entertainment and exquisite food. Their 275 guests were treated to the sublime cuisine of Cordúa Catering. “Cordúa Catering knocked it out of the park,” notes the bride. “They provided the traditional carving station with some fun, modern options like the Mac & Cheese Bar, the Raw Seafood Bar, and a Salad Wall.” Yum! Yet the best moment for Kelley and Michael was “…The Astorian’s view of the sunset on downtown Houston. It was breathtaking and a moment we will never forget!” Congratulations to you both!
With a partner as sweet as Robert, it’s no wonder why Leslie said, “Yes,” to him. “He proposed at our home on Christmas Eve before being joined by family. He wanted us to each open one gift that night, so I suspected something was up,” recalled Leslie. “I opened a photo album that had ‘The Mays’ engraved on the front. The album was filled with pictures of us, and the last page had an insert that read ‘Engagement photo?'” Awww. Their rustic autumn wedding at picturesque Briscoe Manor had everything we love: lush, bright florals; outdoor “I do’s;” and tons of candlelight at a party that lasted deep into the night. Following their moonlit ceremony, the newlyweds, along with 150 of their closest family and friends, feasted on pecan smoked pork loin with truffle mustard and chicken with Kentucky Bourbon teriyaki. Uh…yum! Congratulations to you both, Leslie and Robert, and may you enjoy a lifetime of love and happiness!
