Emma and Nicholas first connected on a dating app in the summer of 2019. They had both just graduated from college and had recently moved to Houston. They hit it off on their first date at Saint Arnold Brewing Company, and quickly planned a second. “We just loved how similar we are and how we share many of the same values and goals,” the bride says. On that second date, they stayed up all night talking on the top of Emma’s apartment parking garage, where they shared their first kiss.
After dating for some time, Nicholas took her to a nice dinner at one of their favorite restaurants. Later in the evening, they went for a walk in The Heights. “I would say that I didn’t see it coming, but Nick was acting a little suspicious, so I had a feeling it may happen,” the bride says. In the middle of the park, Nicholas asked Emma to marry him, and of course, she said, “Yes!” He took her back to revisit the parking garage where they had shared their first kiss to end their unforgettable night.
In the Fall of 2023, Emma and Nicholas said “I do” at the Grand Galvez in Galveston. Surrounded by lush plants and soft green and white hues, their special moment felt even more magical. Before walking down the aisle, they shared an intimate first look and vows together, “There was so much build-up all morning, and finally getting to see Emma in her dress for the first time was so worth it,” the groom says. The jewelry Emma wore was her mom’s from her parents’ wedding day. Following the ceremony, Emma slipped into a lovely rose gold and cream dress for the reception, where a 60-year-old cake topper from her grandparents’ wedding added a sentimental touch to the evening, which unfolded into a vibrant night of cocktails, fine dining, and dancing. The newlyweds wrapped up their special day with a sparkler send-off, then rode off in a classic vintage getaway car.
