Fitness Friday with Perfect Size Nutrition: Healthy Snacks on the Go

Planning your wedding is pretty much a full-time job. Which is insanely tough when you already have a, you know, full-time job. Which, when it comes right down to it, can make healthy eating, especially healthy snacking, almost impossible. But not quite. Today, Perfect Size Nutrition’s lovely Marla and Sonny are back for another installment of Fitness Friday on the Houston Wedding Blog, with their awesome tips and recipes for healthy snacking on the go, tailor-made for busy brides. Check out their vid, and when you’re running around like a madwoman this weekend, traipsing through venues or trying on ballgowns or debating over 97 different napkin-ring possibilities or fretting over whether to updo or undo (or perhaps ALL of the aforementioned and then some), make sure to keep your body fueled, healthfully, deliciously and PDQ. And don’t forget to pop over to their fab blog for tons more tips on fitness, health, and feeling really freakin’ great all the time.

Old Hollywood Glam Wedding at The Sam Houston Hotel

It all started with the typical “you look familiar” pick-up line, says Houston bride Rachel. “Patrick swears to this day that I was staring at him all night… little did he know that I did not have my contacts in and couldn’t see far away!” After one random night out in Huntsville, they were inseparable. Rachel and Patrick celebrated with 160 of their nearest and dearest at The Sam Houston Hotel. The crystal chandeliers, feather-accented centerpieces and pops of color set the tone for their “Old Hollywood” theme. Congrats, Rachel & Patrick, we wish you two nothing but a lifetime of love!

Classic Ivory, Merlot and Blush Wedding by Sarah Ainsworth Photography

From its serene gold-accented palette, to its seasonal menu of roasted corn chowder and beef tenderloin with wild-mushroom-and-onion risotto, to its crystal chandeliers and soft candlelight, Hayley and Jeffrey’s fall wedding is pretty much a perfect example of how to do fall elegance fabulously. The couple, who met on a blind date (!!)—which led to a second date the very next day—wanted their marriage celebration to be not just full of love, but utterly timeless. We think they did both, beautifully. And we’ve got the gorgeous photos by super-talented Houston photographer Sarah Ainsworth to prove it. Congratulations, Hayley & Jeffrey!

Champagne and Coral Vintage Wedding, Houston

This was by far the happiest and most perfect day of my life,” says Houston bride Megan. “My fairy tale wedding came true.” Nothing could delight us more…except, perhaps, getting to look at photos of Megan and James’ vintage-elegant wedding celebration, in shades of champagne, ivory and coral. Of course, at the heart of this lovely Texas wedding was the bride herself, radiant in her keyhole-back Watters bridal gown, gorgeous updo and birdcage veil, surrounded by bridesmaids in flowing coral. Our happiest wishes to the bride and groom—and our thanks to the newlyweds for sharing their perfect day with us…and YOU!
