Katie and Austin’s story began in Houston Heights, thanks to a thoughtful introduction from Katie’s friends, Blaire and Trey, who worked with Austin and knew they’d hit it off. The group met for happy hour in Rice Village, where an adorably awkward first hug sparked an instant connection. That night led to a Houston Rodeo outing to see Chris Stapleton and, soon after, their first official date. A few weeks later, Austin brought home a golden retriever named Honey, completing their little trio that’s been inseparable ever since.

After a long week of work, Katie planned a quiet weekend in Friendswood with Austin. Believing they were headed to dinner with his family, Katie had no idea what was waiting ahead. When they stopped by his grandmother’s house to pick her up, Austin led Katie down to a peaceful creekside bench where a photographer stood ready to capture the surprise. After saying “yes,” Honey came running toward the couple with a dog toy shaped like flowers, and their families cheered for the engaged couple from the porch.

Katie and Austin chose Galveston, Texas, for their winter wedding, a destination filled with fond memories from their childhoods and time together as a couple. The two shared a private first look that calmed their nerves and set the tone for the day, before walking down the aisle of their traditional church ceremony.

The celebration continued at The Tremont House, where gold, white, and neutral hues filled the ballroom with timeless elegance. Before greeting guests, Katie and Austin enjoyed a private dinner, soaking in the joy of their new beginning. As live music carried through the night, the couple joined the band on stage for the final song, ending the evening on a high note. A sparkling grand exit and a ride in a vintage car completed their perfect winter wedding in Galveston.
