A morning hike to the top of Enchanted Rock in the Texas Hill Country peaked with Drew’s heartfelt proposal to Stephanie (with a celebration at a local winery to follow). The UT Austin college sweethearts soon began their Houston wedding planning in earnest, snagging coveted venue The Astorian, and floral design firm Plants N’ Petals, to create their “ethereal dream” of a wedding. “The greenery and florals adorning the ceiling completely transformed the venue,” says Stephanie. “We incorporated subtle Art Deco touches which paired perfectly with The Astorian.” After dining on truffle-grilled-cheese bites and beef tenderloin provided by Cordúa Catering, and strawberry amaretto cake from Cakes By Gina, the pair danced the evening away with their loved ones. Sharing an intimate last dance under the twinkling lights to “At Last,” by Etta James, was “a special way to take in the final moments of our wedding,” the bride says. Warm cookie favors by Texas favorite Tiff’s Treats and a joyful sparkler sendoff completed their magical evening.
