Morgan + Dylan
Dylan's destination proposal involved help from Morgan’s entire family. When Morgan’s sister surprised her with what she thought was a girl's trip to NYC over New Year’s, she couldn’t have been more ecstatic…or so she thought. Four days into the week-long trip, they were walking through Central Park when Dylan appeared – with ring in hand! Almost before Morgan was finished saying "YES!," the surprises continued, with both sets of parents arriving to enjoy the city together into the New Year. Says Morgan, "It was one of the best trips of my life!" As a calligrapher and graphic designer, Morgan had a vision and an artistic view of what she wanted in the details of her wedding, but everything really fell into place when they found a home for their wedding at The Gardens at Madeley Manor, a beautiful venue full of Southern charm. "We fell in love! It worked out so well because it is near my parents' home, and it is an all-inclusive venue. The venue is vintage and full of history." The wedding decor was soft and elegant, with dusty blue colors, greenery and pops of gold. Their personalized wedding stationery designed by the bride, included an illustration of a tree for guests to sign on the leaves, agate table numbers for the reception, and vows written in calligraphy. After a sweet indoor ceremony, guests moved to a tented reception for a seated dinner, featuring chicken marsala, loaded mashed potatoes, and a classic wedding cake with white frosting and chocolate groom's cake with fresh blueberries for dessert.
