Erin + Chase
After admiring Erin from afar as she worked in his favorite Austin restaurant, Chase worked to establish a relationship, but fate led him to a job in Houston. Undeterred, he kept in touch with her, arranging months later to meet at a Texans game where, as bride Erin describes it, they "simply couldn't stop smiling, talking, and laughing." One year later, he proposed among family and friends at the Galleria Waterwall. At the couple’s black tie wedding at The Astorian, Chase’s favorite moment was Erin walking down the aisle to him to the music of a string quartet. She wore a stunning Galia Lahav gown and veil, sweetly accessorized by Chase’s grandmother’s engagement ring, gifted to her in memory of his late grandfather. A mariachi band entertained guests during the cocktail hour, until the reveal of the gorgeous reception, which glittered with champagne linens, ivory and cream flowers, and pops of aubergine and mauve. "The downtown skyline could be seen From every corner of The Astorian," remembers the bride. Menu highlights by Cordua included Brooklyn Beef dry aged New York strip steak, mascarpone potatoes, and wild mushroom bread pudding. The beautiful floral and lace wedding cake offered guests choices of chocolate coffee sponge cake with dulce de leche buttercream and red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. "Everything, from our grand entrance, first dance, toasts, to the grand exit, and everything in between was amazing!"
