“On the sandy beaches of Mexico, I showed Brian a beautiful video I‘d made, with the help of family and friends,” Christopher Michael says. “The video carried the message, ‘You Matter to Me,’ which became our wedding song.” The song’s theme was the basis of their intimate destination wedding in Santa Fe, where 75 close friends and family members gathered for a celebratory weekend, which included a White Party and a visit to the opera. Houston planner Claudia De Velasco of A Day To Remember planned the couple’s nuptials, coordinating with both Houston and Santa Fe wedding vendors. The grooms exchanged vows and engraved wedding rings custom-designed by Christopher Michael. A dramatic sunset and a view of rugged mountains served as the backdrop to their enchanting rooftop reception, enhanced by twinkling string lights, and a color palette of ivory, blush and metallics. Guests dined on peppercorn salmon, chipotle-roasted free-range chicken, and lemon-raspberry cake.
