It all started in 2010 when Kaitlyn and Nathan first met after the OU vs. Florida State football game. They immediately hit it off, started messaging each other on Facebook, went on their first date a week later and the rest is history. Four years later, Kaitlyn wed Nathan in a classic Monique Lhuillier gown holding a gorgeous peony and rose bouquet accented with her grandmother’s prayer book. The reception was exactly how she pictured it: simplicity with a hit of romantic elegance, thanks to AJ’s Urban Petals expertise. “It rained all day, but it made the atmosphere more romantic”, said Kaitlyn. Peach, Green & Gray Rustic Wedding

Amy and Elliot met at a July 4^th barbecue, instantly hit it off and the rest was history. The pair traveled to a private beach in Mexico to celebrate their one-year anniversary. Little did she know that he had planned the sweetest proposal on the last day of their romantic getaway. Needless to say, Amy said “yes”, and started planning their Spring wedding. Amy and Elliot envisioned an upscale-rustic wedding with personal touches. Lanterns, beautiful flowers by Blooms Design Studio, tea lights, and a seating chart (built by Amy’s brother and bridesmaid) were just a few of the simple details that brought their vision of an elegant, yet rustic wedding come to life. Coral, Gold & Gray Wedding

“Ahren and I met freshman year at University of Houston through mutual friends. We lost touch after I moved to Chicago and he started Optometry school. We reconnected in 2010 and I asked him out on a date and the rest was history!” Ada says. “We decided to have a traditional Catholic ceremony for Ahren’s side followed by a traditional Chinese tea ceremony for my family,” adds Ada. After both ceremonies, it was time to party! The reception started with the bridal party entering to the Houston Rockets introduction song while the guests were given surprise goodie bags with sparklers and glow sticks. After a lovely dinner, Ada and Ahren danced the night away with their nearest and dearest. “It was definitely a dream wedding!” says Ada. Congrats to the newlyweds!

When Brittney first met Taylor through a mutual friend while they were both attending Texas A&M, she wasn’t so sure about dating the “old” guy. Six months later, that changed. Brittney decided to text Taylor to see how he was doing and the rest was history. Taylor planned the perfect proposal in Paris that completely swept Brittney off of her feet. “We stayed in a quaint little hotel near the Eiffel Tower and he told me that we were doing an 8 AM Eiffel Tower tour but he wanted me to look nice so we could take some pictures beforehand. At 7 AM, we stood in Trocadero Square where the Eiffel tower sits beautifully in the background attempting to take selfies. A photographer walked by offering to take pictures of us and it turns out, Taylor had been talking to this photographer and coordinated this whole plan. I had no idea. The photographer’s line was “the lighting is perfect now” and that is when Taylor got on his knee and asked me to marry him.” Looks like dating an “older” guy isn’t so bad after all, huh. It was only appropriate for the pair to plan their Houston wedding around the Texas A&M color palette of maroon, gray and white, which complemented their gorgeous wedding venue, The Corinthian, perfectly. A college meet-cute. A wintry Central Park down-on-one-knee-in-the-snow proposal. A magnificent 225-guest wedding so celebratory that attendees couldn’t wait to start dancing and took to the floor during dinner! Could Barbara and Billy’s nuptial story be any more romantic? The pair’s Petroleum Club wedding had all the makings of an unforgettable evening, from the ivory, gray and gold palette, to the shrimp-cocktail-and-filet-mignon dinner, to the spectacular “statement” cake from famed baker Nadine Moon. Yet it was the feeling of being surrounded by family and friends, and “hosted by the most wonderful parents anyone could have,” that the bride says will forever be her greatest memory of her most special day.
