Eliza and Matthew first crossed paths during their very first week at Texas A&M University. What began as a chance meeting on campus eventually led to a relationship that would shape the years ahead.
Matthew proposed to Eliza in February 2025 after spending weeks jokingly pretending to pop the question. When he looked at her and said, “I have a question I’ve been meaning to ask you,” she expected another playful tease. Instead, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him.
Eliza and Matthew exchanged vows in an intimate spring wedding in the Texas Hill Country, surrounded by rolling landscapes and loved ones. Every heartfelt moment was beautifully captured by Photos by Yaz. The couple’s al fresco ceremony took place in front of a charming stone chapel adorned with lush florals. Donkeys with beer-filled baskets added a playful touch to cocktail hour as guests sipped on cocktails and enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres. Eliza and Matthew’s reception featured abundant greenery, dangling tea lights, and elegant details. The evening unfolded with heartfelt toasts, dinner, dancing, and plenty of celebration, including a fun and pink inflatable shark that quickly became part of the festivities. To end the night, the newlyweds and guests enjoyed late-night grilled cheese sandwiches before heading home.
