White, Gold And Black Classic Wedding By Stephania Campos

After finding their vendors at Weddings In Houston’s I Do! Soiree in 2019, high school sweethearts and soulmates, Brittan and Grant chose the chic, modern Hotel ZaZa Houston Museum District for their elegant fall wedding.

The couple celebrated their nuptials in iconic ZaZa style, surrounded by a timeless palette of white, gold and black. “Our wedding was very classic; white flowers, gold touches and a mixture of dark effects from the ZaZa Phantom Ballroom flooring,” notes the bride. “The hallway had portraits of us lining the walls—a ZaZa touch that we loved!” A delicious meal and cake with Bavarian cream filling by Susie’s Cakes fueled the newlyweds and their 225 guests for an evening of dancing on a black and white striped dance floor beneath an enormous chandelier.

Romantic Persian Wedding at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa

After meeting through mutual friends in 2014, Shiva and Jonathan later connected on Facebook when Jonathon messaged Shiva about the World Cup because he knew she liked soccer. “He came up with all these stats on players and I assumed that he knew a lot about soccer and that we had a lot in common,” recounts Shiva. “We decided to go out to a cafe in Montrose, just us two, and we hit it off from there.” Three years later Jonathon proposed to Shiva on the rooftop of Hotel ZaZa with the glittering lights of the downtown skyline as their backdrop.

Shiva and Jonathan pledged their love at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa in a traditional Persian ceremony, accompanied by a beautiful Sofreh Aghd, in a timeless wedding palette of white and gold. The bride describes her Persian wedding as “glamorous and romantic.” The reception decor featured tall dramatic floral centerpieces, glittering chandeliers, and a custom monogrammed dance floor from LG Event Entertainment & Production. Guests enjoyed a delectable surf and turf reception meal, followed by an elegant four-tier white and gold squared wedding cake with raspberry filling from Susie’s Cakes. Cherished moments for the bride included the father-daughter dance, first look, and dancing with everyone! Sophisticated Black, White & Gold Houston Wedding

Katie and Matt had many casual run-ins since high school, but it wasn’t until what turned out to be a special Christmas break when they reconnected at a mutual friend’s birthday party. “He asked me out to dinner the next day at a Mexican restaurant where we grew up, and the rest was history,” says Katie.

After 4 years of dating long distance, Katie moved to Austin to be with Matt. He suggested that they take a weekend trip to New Orleans since neither of them had been. Katie says, “He planned everything and found a great historic hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. We had a full day of exploring the city, and were getting ready to head to dinner. Matt suggested that we should walk around Jackson Square before going to the restaurant. He began talking about our future, and before I knew it he was on one knee asking me to marry him!”
