It would be hard to top Max’s proposal to Crystle for sheer romance: The Belgian-born model alighted with his beloved from a chartered helicopter, then surprised the former Miss USA (2008) with his down-on-one-knee question in front of giddy friends and family dressed in T-shirts reading, “True Love is Crystle Clear.” Yet the couple’s summer wedding did manage to take romance to a whole new level, with a lavish 320-guest celebration set at castle-like Chateau Cocomar. While Michelle admits that meeting Chris as a high-school senior “was not love at first sight, as I was not looking for a boyfriend,” her future husband’s persistence paid off. Seven years after they met, the couple joined together in matrimony, with an elegant wedding in Chateau Cocomar’s magnificent castle-like setting, complete with marble floors and twinkling chandeliers. Michelle’s chosen palette of soft neutrals and a hint of blush pink created an air of timeless romance—the perfect backdrop for the newlyweds’ first dance (Michelle’s favorite wedding memory), and every moment thereafter. At the night’s close, guests held aloft 20-inch-long sparklers as Mr. and Mrs. O’Malley shared a kiss.

The tailgate scene at the Sept. 8, 2012, Texas A&M vs. Florida game was pretty much the perfect spot for Chisholm’s marriage proposal to Samantha—after all, the A&M alums are both huge football fans. The pair’s Chateau Cocomar wedding, with its elegant palette of black, white and silver, was the very picture of elegance, but with plenty of laid-back, high-spirited fun. Samantha says she especially cherishes the wedding memory of “being sung to by my husband and all of his fraternity brothers.” Big thanks to DC Stanley Photography for the pretty pix of this utterly adorable Houston couple, and congrats to the newlyweds!

“Sean proposed to me on Christmas Eve 2011 at my parents’ house. We have a family tradition of each person opening one gift the night before Christmas. That year my mom decided the gift would be an ornament with an inspirational message inside. Everyone opened their ornaments and read their messages aloud, one at a time. I was last because my mom couldn’t seem to find my ornament on the tree. Sean found the ornament for her and he handed it to me. When I opened it my message read, ‘Will you marry me?’ I was so shocked and excited that I didn’t even notice that he was already down on one knee with the ring in his hand telling me how much he loves me. It was perfect! I loved finding out later that Sean had asked my dad for his permission before proposing.” We love it, too, Jessica. And, just like your mom, we love that you had her wedding gown altered to wear at your rehearsal dinner at The Grove. And that you made the invitations to your Chateau Cocomar wedding by hand. And that Sean’s favorite moment of the whole wedding was when he got his “first look” at you, privately, in the moments before the ceremony. And, most of all, that you and Sean found each other, and true love, in this big, wide world.
