Louisiana native Darby and Texas boy Riley likely wouldn’t have met if Riley hadn’t decided to go to Louisiana State University at the last minute. But thanks to that fateful choice bringing the couple together in Baton Rouge, these Southern sweethearts just said “I do” with a sentimental Texas wedding, on their family ranch in Brenham, Texas.

Five wonderful years passed before Riley got down on one knee during a romantic, snow-capped mountain proposal in Colorado. The bride says, “Breckenridge will always hold a special place in our hearts!”

Darby and Riley wed on March 25, 2023, surrounded by generations-old oak trees and blankets of bluebonnets in full bloom. The groom showcased his handiwork by stringing up greenery and twinkling lights to transform the horse arena into a reception venue, where the newlyweds danced well into the evening.

The bride says, “The biggest highlight was getting married on sentimental family land where we now get to build a home and raise a family.”

Congratulations, Darby & Riley!
