Alexa and Brian’s love story began in high school, but it wasn’t until years later that they reconnected at a mutual friend’s party in Houston. After that, sparks flew, and Brian proposed to Alexa at a romantic dinner with “marry me” marquee letters and a secret photographer.
The couple pledged their love on April 24, 2022, with a southern-inspired wedding in Houston. The ceremony was adorned with grand floral arrangements of hydrangeas and roses in shades of pink and ivory, artfully designed by Plants N’ Petals.
One of the most memorable moments for the couple was their French bulldog, Louie, serving as the ring bearer and riding down the aisle in a white Bentley. He had been practicing his duties for almost a year and did not disappoint the guests. Alexa, the bride, says, “My favorite memory was waiting outside the chapel before going down the aisle and hearing everyone start cheering. That was when I knew Louie (my dog bearer) had successfully made it down the aisle! We were all so nervous for him- some of the groomsmen even placed bets if he would make it down or not. I loved that he could be a part of our special day.”
Following the springtime ceremony, the newlyweds celebrated with friends and loved ones with a chic ballroom reception. A garden-inspired custom monogram decorated the dancefloor, cushions and menus, which coordinated perfectly with lush floral arrangements decorating the reception tables.
After an evening of dining and dancing, Alexa and Brian cut into a show-stopping six-tiered wedding cake, a decadent creation by Cakes by Gina. After a sparkler send-off, the couple jetted off to St. Lucia for their honeymoon.
