A Seaside Bachelorette Trip Itinerary in Shades of Blue

Confessions of a Bride-To-Be by Erin Muehsler: Bachelorette Trip Itinerary

As the Production Coordinator at Weddings in Houston, I’m lucky to spend my days immersed in beautiful love stories and grand celebrations. But stepping into my own bridal era has been a whole new kind of magic. I recently had the bachelorette trip of my dreams, one that I’ll never forget.

When it came time to celebrate, I knew I wanted a destination that felt elevated yet relaxed, chic yet effortless. Seaside, Florida, checked every box. Picture stunning coastal views, a charming beach town atmosphere, and a laid-back luxury that feels like an escape. Our home for the weekend was a lavish beach house in Santa Rosa, situated just steps from the sugar-white sand and crystal-clear waters, providing the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable weekend.

We set the tone with a blue and white theme, “Last Toast on the Coast,” throughout the house, creating a coastal, dreamy vibe that foreshadowed the aesthetic I wanted to bring to my wedding day.

Friday: Pajama Party

After our flights, we kicked off my bachelorette week with wine, pizza, and a pajama party. While I was briefly “banished” from the house (a clue that something fun was happening), my incredible bridesmaids transformed the space with festive decorations, streamers, balloons, confetti, and a decked-out primary bedroom just for me.

I wore classic white pajamas while everyone else wore shades of blue, keeping perfectly in theme. Each of us had a custom beach bag engraved with our names filled with all the essentials: matching blue beach towels, sun hats, koozies, and emergency hangover kits. (Bride’s pro tip: reach out to your favorite brands, and they just might help contribute a few goodies to your trip.) There were even fatheads of my fiancé, Pierce’s face, truly a hilarious touch that had us laughing all weekend.

The night was filled with games, from my friends creating “Hinge” dating profiles of themselves as men to a customized game modeled after Cards Against Humanity, featuring scenarios and answers all about Pierce and me. It was the perfect start to a remarkable trip.

Saturday: Sun, Sand, and Spritze

Saturday was dedicated to relaxing at the beach and poolside. Our house was just a short walk or bike ride from the beach, and the water was as beautiful as it could be. Blue and crystal clear, it was the ideal setting to celebrate the future Mrs.

As the sun began to set, we got ready for the evening with Aperol Spritzes in hand, setting the tone for our dinner theme: Spritz the Bride. I wore a sparkling white sequin dress, and my bridesmaids coordinated in shades of blue and orange, the best color palette against a beachy backdrop. We headed to a charming Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed a night full of laughter, pasta, and cocktails.

Sunday: Brunch and Boat Adventures

On Sunday morning, we gathered for a delicious brunch, a slow, sweet start to the day, before heading out for one of the weekend’s highlights: a boat day to Crab Island.

We boarded a two-decker boat, complete with a slide, and set out for a day of sunshine and celebration. We swam, danced to music, played games, and soaked up every second. Sliding down into the clear blue waters at Crab Island, surrounded by my best friends, felt like something straight out of a dream.

This trip reminded me that the most magical moments come from the people you share them with and the memories you make together. Stay tuned as I share more of our wedding journey, from the final details to the big day itself.
