A dating-app conversation in May 2015 soon led to dinner in person for Nancy and Andrew. “And from there, we were inseparable,” Nancy says. A summer 2017 trip to Caneel Bay in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where Andrew had spent summer vacations as a child, held a surprise in store for Nancy—a marriage proposal, followed immediately by festivities with Andrew’s mother and stepfather who were on the island to celebrate their own 20th wedding anniversary. “Since I was marrying into an Italian family, I chose an Italian inspiration for my wedding that was comfortable, yet elegant for a summer evening,” Nancy says. She notes that she loved “waking up the morning of the wedding and knowing it was our wedding day, and feeling excited for the day to unfold.” Among her favorite wedding memories is “the moment following the vow ceremony, when our officiant asked us to turn and look out at our audience and see the friends and family who were so special to us.” And, of course, “being on the dance floor with Andrew and our friends—especially the last dance of the night with confetti swirling everywhere!”
