Michelle + Soo
Michelle and Soo who met briefly in college got reacquainted a few years later when both lived in Atlanta. They lived across the street from each other and would meet for casual dates at the corner of 12th and Crescent. "Soo proposed to me – naturally – at 'our corner', on our anniversary with roses everywhere…just the two of us," says Michelle. Their Houston wedding for 185 guests was at the iconic Corinthian Houston which had a grand and romantic feel yet gave the couple enough space to incorporate their own look. Michelle walked to Soo in a gorgeous Ines di Santo gown from Joan Pillow Bridal Salon, accompanied by bridesmaids in dove-gray crepe gowns from Bella Bridesmaids. The wedding was "luxe modern – white, marble, gold, a lot of clean lines and geometric edges with some glam and lushness. I wanted the wedding to feel like us," says Michelle. In lieu of a traditional cake, the self-professed candy lover opted for 75 pounds of candy for an extravagant candy bar. Her favorite moments were walking down the aisle to her favorite songs, the vows and the couple's first dance under the beautiful floral installation over the dance floor, to the music of the Backstreet Boys.
