Macy + Niko
After meeting Niko on dating app Bumble, Macy sat in her hairstylist’s chair, “telling her about how much I was not looking forward to our date,” the bride recounts. “I showed up 20 minutes late to meet Niko at Baker Street Pub. But this date was unlike any I had ever gone on before.” For three hours the two talked and walked away knowing they had to see each other again. And again. And again. Until, one evening on a date at The Post Oak Hotel, Niko grabbed Macy’s hand, twirled her around and spoke the words she had been waiting to hear. The couple wed at Waters Edge, on the shores of Clear Lake—an area where both had spent time growing up. With its “waterfront feel,” the couple’s wedding spoke to their hearts, as did Niko’s white tux, echoing the white suits both his dad and hers had worn for their own weddings. “Since we had so many family members who had never met the bride or groom, we put ‘5 things his side should know about her, (and vice versa)’ signs by the bar to help our families get to know us a little better,” Macy says. And about Waters Edge: “I couldn’t picture any other place being more perfect for our wedding.”
