A visit to Hampshire College to spend time with a friend turned out to be a fateful trip for Deepa; that’s where she met Vibhu, who would become her one and only from that moment on. For the joining of their two families, wedding consultant Kat Creech orchestrated the construction of a “kingdom,” including a temple façade hung with gold lanterns and a custom stage from which the bride emerged to meet her groom, passing through coral, gold and green chiffon panels as she approached him. Deepa says she’ll never forget “walking down the golden path, in the most majestic ceremony hall I have ever seen, to see my soon-to-be-husband for the first time that day.” The couple performed their ceremony rituals beneath a peacock-inspired mandap anchored with ivory elephants, then celebrated surrounded by orchids, tulips, roses, candles, shimmer linens, and 300 of their nearest and dearest, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel.
"The entire gold walkway was embellished with fresh floral garlands, highlighting our love for fuchsia and tropical plants; they remind us of our family’s estate back home in India." -Deepa
