Courtney + Bo
Bo and Courtney successfully navigated years of friendship, then long-distance courtship, until, on a brisk winter New York City evening, Bo rented out the entire USS Intrepid (a special location to them both) to ask Courtney to be his wife, surrounded by their loved ones, with the sunset skyline as a backdrop. Their love story began its next chapter among the vintage books and painted cathedral ceilings of Houston’s historic Julia Ideson Library, for a truly unique reception. “We wanted to play up the library setting, and had beautiful bound books, purchased by family and friends, on every table, surrounded by gorgeous greenery and white flowers,” Courtney recounts. The menu of upscale comfort food by Café Natalie Catering featured three-cheese baked macaroni, arugulaand- goat-cheese salad, steak, and mini cheeseburgers as late-night snacks. The “absurdly fun” party also featured a live country-music performance by Bo’s cousin Owen Temple and a memorable sparkler exit, for which the bride paired her custom bodysuit and dress from Parvani Vida Bridal & Formal with a custom DIY jacket that proudly proclaimed her as the new “Mrs. Hughes.”
