While they were told about each other before actually meeting, Amanda and Stuart could not possibly have known they'd have an instant connection when they met at their friends' nuptial celebration at The Bell Tower on 34th (she was a bridesmaid, he was friends with the groom). The bride's attendance at Weddings In Houston's I Do! Wedding Soiree, where she met planner Claudia De Velasco of A Day To Remember, actually preceded the groom's surprise beachfront proposal...but only by a week. "My now-husband and I have been to so many weddings, we didn't want ours to be similar to those we had attended," Amanda notes. "Claudia made sure to design something different, unique and personalized to us. And the highlight was definitely the confetti-cannon explosion for our departure since nobody was expecting that at all!”
