Wedding at Thompson Houston with Elevated Ballroom Details

Taylor and Justin first met in middle school through Jack and Jill of America, attending teen conferences and events together for years. They didn’t talk much back then, but later, while Taylor was in dental school and Justin was in medical school, he reached out on social media to catch up.  When they finally saw each other again at a Christmas party, they talked until 4 a.m. and everything just clicked. 

Justin proposed in October 2023 during Taylor’s 30th birthday weekend. He planned what she believed was a simple birthday brunch, but when she walked into the restaurant, nearly 100 friends and family members were waiting. Justin got down on one knee and asked Taylor to marry him. Taylor says, “It was the most perfect day, and the most incredible way to start this next chapter.” 

Taylor and Justin were married on March 22, 2025, in the Vesper ballroom at Thompson Houston, by Hyatt. The ceremony was adorned with elegant white florals and greenery. “The room was breathtaking,” Taylor says. “It was beautifully decorated and filled with our friends and family, all dressed in their black-tie best.” A highlight was Taylor’s walk down the aisle. A live violinist played as the doors opened, and guests were visibly emotional. “It was more than just a walk,” Taylor says. “It was the beginning of our forever, surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.” 

The celebration continued in the ballroom, glowing with candlelight, flower accents and gorgeous cakes by Cakes by Gina. The wedding party set the tone for the evening, making their entrance with oversized face cut-outs of the couple and playful “just married” signs. The night ended with a sparkler send-off as Taylor and Justin were cheered into married life.
