Kirby and Chase met just weeks after Chase moved to Houston. Kirby had been invited to his welcome party at a local Tex-Mex restaurant, where she arrived fashionably late with cowboy napkins and a Texas tallboy to officially welcome him to Houston. The only open seat was across from Chase, and as they like to say, they “began their love story over a plate of sizzling fajitas.”

The months that followed were filled with shared adventures, from Sunday afternoons at the polo fields to running marathons together. In March 2024, Chase proposed to Kirby at Hermann Park, the same spot as their first date.

The pre-wedding celebrations overflowed with style and joy, including a beautiful bridal luncheon at the Manor House at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa, a lively welcome party, and Kirby’s standout custom newspaper dress at the rehearsal dinner.

On February 15, 2025, Kirby and Chase were married in a traditional church ceremony. A highlight of the weekend was Mayor John Whitmire proclaiming their wedding date “Kirby and Chase Day.” It was a sweet moment for Kirby after serving as his senate page in elementary school and helping with his mayoral campaign.

Their reception at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa embraced a classic palette of black, white, and red. The reception bar, inspired by The Polo Bar in New York City, paid homage to one of the couples favorite places. Their five-tiered cake by Susie’s Cakes was topped with Herend penguin bride and groom figurines, bringing a playful touch to the timeless design.

When it was time to hit the dance floor, Kirby changed into a sparkly and chic pink Oscar de la Renta mini dress and surprised Chase by taking over the DJ booth. The evening ended with a romantic private dance and a rose petal send-off.
