A Romantic Ballroom Reception with Beauty and the Beast-Inspired Details

Nooraan and Jonathan’s whirlwind romance began through mutual friends, and from the very first moment, there was an undeniable connection. “It was like something out of a dream, with everything falling into place effortlessly,” the bride says. The couple was engaged just four months after meeting.

Their two-day wedding celebration began on September 27, 2024, with a religious ceremony followed by a vow exchange. That evening, they celebrated their Mehndi with guests arriving in bright, colorful attire that popped against the soft pastel décor.

The following day, Nooraan and Jonathan hosted an opulent wedding reception at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa. Drawing inspiration from “Beauty and the Beast,” the ballroom was transformed with rich hues of red, navy, and gold. The couple shared a first look in the ballroom before guests arrived, taking in the romantic floral canopy strung with twinkle lights above their custom white-and-gold monogrammed dance floor. Red florals and lush greenery filled the space, while a vintage-inspired cake by Susie’s Cakes, displayed atop a bed of blooms, made for a stunning centerpiece. After celebrating with family and friends, Nooraan changed into a silver gown for the after-party, where gold confetti, late-night chicken and waffles, and plenty of dancing kept the celebration going.

The couple’s favorite part of the evening was slipping away for portraits beneath the iconic oak tree at The Houstonian. “It felt so dreamy and was a moment of realization for us both that we were actually married,” the bride says.
