MaryKate and Daulton’s love story began during their college years, when their fraternity and sorority were paired for the annual homecoming week. Both were nominated for homecoming court and spent plenty of time together throughout the week’s festivities. After a few months of getting to know one another, the two began dating.

Daulton planned a heartfelt proposal disguised as a romantic steak dinner at Brenner’s on the Bayou. Before their reservation, the couple walked through the restaurant’s lush garden, where Daulton surprised MaryKate by proposing underneath the gazebo. “I was ecstatic and quickly said a million times yes,” the bride shares. There was just one hiccup in their heartfelt proposal. MaryKate’s ring got stuck thanks to the Texas heat, leading to an unexpected detour to the local fire station before they walked into the sweetest surprise engagement party.

On October 12, 2024, MaryKate and Daulton exchanged vows in a traditional church ceremony in Houston. Before walking down the aisle, the couple shared a private first look, giving them a quiet moment before the day’s celebrations began. Following their ceremony, guests went to Pine Forest Country Club for an elegant reception in the Legacy Ballroom.

The reception featured light blue and soft pink hues, with floral arrangements of hydrangeas, roses, and greenery complementing the blue floral linens. At the center of the reception stood a charming four-tier vintage-inspired cake by Susie’s Cakes.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was MaryKate’s heartfelt tribute to her mother. She dedicated her bouquet to her mom, followed by a lively flash mob to “Dancing Queen,” where all the women in attendance joined in. The evening concluded with the couple’s grand exit through a shower of rose petals, closing the night on a romantic note.
