Rain Couldn’t Stop This Intimate Seaside Wedding

Ella and Greg met just as they were both ready to give up on dating. Encouraged by friends, they each gave Hinge one more chance. Although Greg was living in Houston, he set his location to Austin in hopes of meeting a fellow Texas Longhorn. That’s when he came across Ella’s profile, and the rest, as they say, is history.

After eight months of dating, Ella and Greg planned a trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for a change in scenery. “I had a suspicion something was going to happen on the trip…,” Ella says. As the couple watched the early morning sunrise, Greg caught Ella completely by surprise when he got down on one knee. With the breathtaking mountain landscape behind them, he asked her to spend forever by his side.

The couple said “I do” in an intimate beachside wedding in Seaside, Florida, that was beautifully captured by Kate Waldis Creative. Before the ceremony, Ella and Grag shared a private first look, soaking in a quiet moment together before walking down the aisle. Although rain in the forecast disrupted the couple’s original plans, the skies cleared just in time for half of the seating to be moved back onto the white sand, giving Ella and Greg the beach ceremony they had always dreamed of. “When Greg and I were saying our vows, the sun peeked through the clouds and shone, it was something I’ll never forget,” the bride says.

Following the ceremony, guests followed a saxophonist along the boardwalk to a nearby restaurant where they enjoyed delicious bites, festive cocktails and an evening dancing surrounded by coastal views. Shades of blue, white and green carried throughout the reception, while monogrammed cups and carefully curated details added the finishing touches. A Polaroid guest book invited loved ones to capture memories throughout the celebration, adding a personal touch to the unforgettable evening.
