Mimi and Trey’s love story blossomed when she returned to Houston in 2020 after a successful two-decade career in finance in NYC and Connecticut.  She quickly crossed paths with Trey, thanks to a mutual friend who made the introduction. Trey’s initial email sparked a connection that felt unmistakably memorable from the start.

“We both knew from the very beginning that this was something special,” Mimi says.

Trey orchestrated a fairytale proposal in Paris, choosing “one of the most romantic restaurants in Paris” as the perfect setting. Midway through dessert, he captivated their fellow diners, announcing to everyone his heartfelt intention to ask Mimi to marry him.

On July 20, 2024, the couple exchanged vows in an elegant, garden-inspired afternoon wedding at the River Oaks Country Club. Mimi shares, “We wanted our day to feel very fresh, cool, and light and full of lots of green and white.” The ceremony was particularly meaningful, as Mimi’s mother escorted her down the aisle while Trey’s father officiated, and they exchanged stunning rings from Tenenbaum Jewelers.

The garden reception was an afternoon tea party, both classic and sumptuous with exquisite Lily of the Valley florals, and a four-tier delicious cake embossed with Lily of the Valley, by Susie’s Cakes. Guests enjoyed a repast of finger sandwiches, lobster rolls, caviar potato chips, and other delicacies and a dessert table of mini lily-of-the-valley cakes, shortbread, macaroons, lemon scones and more! The happy couple will honeymoon in the South of France.
