Raquel and Hery started as childhood friends and developed a close friendship that blossomed into love years later. After having a crush on each other throughout childhood, the friends decided to give their relationship a chance as they got older. The bride says, “The spark was always there, but this time around, we decided to give that spark a flame. We are so happy we did!”

The couple’s engagement story is just as romantic as their journey to the altar. Hery arranged front-row seats at a candlelight jazz concert, an event Raquel was eager to attend. After tricking Raquel into thinking they were posing for a photo, Hery surprised Raquel with a heartfelt proposal.

Raquel and Hery wed in a sunlit chapel ceremony on November 13, 2022. Gently rolling pastures and a brilliant sunset served as the perfect backdrop for the couple’s autumn wedding. After saying “I Do,” the couples celebrated with a romantic reception decorated with trailing greenery, elegantly arranged florals and red hues designed by Event Artistry & Floral.
