A Tropical-Inspired Wedding at the Queen of the Gulf

Kendall and Kyle met through mutual friends when Kendall and her friends crashed an all-boys ski trip. Kyle picked her up from the airport, and it happened to be her birthday, making their introduction especially memorable.

Kyle proposed in Fredericksburg, Texas, at the Airbnb the couple had built together while dating. After Kendall said “yes,” Kyle surprised her with a celebration with friends and family.

The bride and groom exchanged vows in a church ceremony in Galveston, Texas, on a warm summer day. A fresh, tropical-inspired aesthetic began with stationery by Bering’s and continued into the reception at the historic Grand Galvez, bringing a tropical Galveston wedding style. Inside the bright and airy Music Hall ballroom, tables were decorated with vibrant purple blooms, palm leaves, and oyster shell place cards, with rentals from Plants N’ Petals adding to the coastal look. Cakes by Gina crafted a timeless cake that perfectly complemented the elegant yet breezy celebration.

For Kendall, one of the most memorable moments was their first dance. “We nailed it!” she says. After the cake cutting, the bride changed into a chic white mini dress and the celebration kicked into high gear. Guests enjoyed espresso martinis poured from an ice sculpture, wore sailor hats and leis, and kept the dance floor lively all night. Before their sparkler send-off, the couple slipped away to capture romantic photos in the Grand Galvez’s iconic Founders Bar, savoring a private moment together before the night came to a close. The bride says, “Our goal was to create a fun, tropical-inspired celebration filled with love, music, and laughter!”
