Susie + Tyler
When she borrowed that Alabama jersey from former high-school classmate and on-and-off-again romantic interest Tyler to wear on a ski trip with her family during an Alabama National Championship game, Susie couldn’t have known that she was setting the gears in motion for something much bigger: “I had no idea he wasn’t lending me a cheap fan jersey you can buy just anywhere. Instead, Tyler had taken an authentic jersey that he wore on the field, with a National Championship patch sewn onto it, out of its shadowbox case at his parents’ house, and let me borrow it.” It wasn’t until several years later that Tyler messaged Susie, gently asking if he could have his prized keepsake back. Within a month of what they now refer to as “the jersey exchange,” the pair were inseparable. And their spring country club wedding, with its Earth Day palette, tousled greenery, and relaxed elegance? An absolute delight.
