Christian hired a photographer for his proposal to Rebecca, under the guise of getting portraits taken of their pets. On a hill under an old oak tree, pups Sierra (with the ring secretly attached to her collar), and Denali ran to Christian and Rebecca. As the shutter clicked, Christian deftly removed the ring, dropped to his knee, and proposed. Six weeks before the wedding was to take place, Hurricane Harvey struck, damaging the original wedding venue. However, their wedding would go on, with their resourceful wedding planner Ann Whittington moving the celebration to a private home. "We wanted our wedding to be a very bright, fun affair," says Rebecca who walked down the aisle in a stunning Oscar de la Renta gown from Joan Pillow Bridal Salon. The breathtaking flowers and decor by Plants N' Petals in a classic palette of white, gold and blush tones, created an ethereal setting inside the softly-glowing tent. About the decadent custom cake designed by Susie's Cakes & Confections, Rebecca says, "We worked with Susie Edwards to bring in all of the elements I wanted for the cake. I love lace, and she mimicked the details of my dress with her design." Christian's groom's cake displayed his Aggie ring, Playstation and a geode. Favorite moments for the bride and groom? "The fireworks! And dancing to our awesome band with our friends and family."
