Maggi + Matt
Introduced by a mutual friend at an event for young professionals, Maggi says she and Matt “clicked instantly and bonded over a mutual love of baseball—and the common ground of having people mispronounce our last names constantly.” One Saturday, 27 months later, Maggi woke from a nap in the 1920’s bungalow they shared, to find 27 cards placed around the house, each explaining a different reason why Matt wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. “It was perfect,” Maggi says of the heartfelt proposal. Following a rehearsal dinner at the Houston Food Bank, the couple went with a “simple, clean, modern look,” with a palette of white, coral and mint, accented by metallic highlights, for their downtown Houston wedding. The bride’s favorite moment? “Eating dinner, just the two of us in a private room before going out to the reception—it was really special, and gave us the opportunity to just enjoy the moment…and the food!”
