It was a hot summer day when Logan and David first met in real life after connecting online. Logan’s first reaction after seeing what David wore to their first date: “Shorts? To dinner…really?” he recounts. David’s first reaction, “Pants? In May?” The two of them moved past their differences on outfit choices, and, thankfully, hit it off. Four years later David worked up the courage to ask Logan to marry him, during a romantic getaway in Quebec City. Following a rehearsal dinner enjoying the Houston skyline and fine fare at the Petroleum Club of Houston, the lovebirds tied the knot at the JW Marriott Houston Downtown, with a heartfelt Art Deco-themed ceremony in the chapel room, followed by a swank reception in the chic gallery space. Unique features of the evening included modern decor by AJ’s Urban Petals, a perfect complement to the gallery artwork, and a delightful “salad wall” by Darryl & Co., a treat for the palate as well as the eyes. The newlyweds wined, dined and danced the night away with their guests. Among the evening’s most memorable moments, says Logan: “David’s uncle led the crowd in dancing with neckties tied around their foreheads”—a beloved Pennsylvanian celebration tradition.
