Leah + Carlos
Leah and Carlos were working in the same Houston hospital unit when she caught his eye. Leah admits it didn’t take long for her to fall for his “cheesy”—yet adorable—sense of humor. The day after she passed her nurse-practitioner board exam, Carlos planned a celebratory lunch for Leah at her favorite restaurant. It was there, in the presence of their parents, that he asked her to marry him—a sweet and simple proposal that the bride says “was very us.” Fast-forward to their fairytale wedding at the Corinthian- Houston: The lavish ballroom featured suspended chandeliers, crystal curtains and a decadent 10-tier wedding cake standing over 6 feet high. Long dinner tables boasted centerpieces of orchids, hydrangeas, gardenias and spray roses, while a classic palette of ivory, gold and blush added to the majestic atmosphere. Leah and Carlos were thrilled to have a high-energy live band provide what Leah describes as “amazing ’80s cover music” for their 200 move-busting guests. All in all, theirs was a celebration fit for a king and queen.
