Lauren + Oren
As the only girl in a set of quadruplets, Lauren was surrounded by lots and lots of boys as she grew up. Oren was one of these. A baseball teammate of her brothers,’ he’d often come over to hang out on high-school afternoons… but instead of playing video games with the boys, he would sneak off to be with Lauren. Over time, their love blossomed, and at a Thanksgiving-morning family football game, Oren popped the question to Lauren right there on the field (but only after having flown to Boca Raton weeks before to ask Lauren’s father for his blessing). For their wedding at The Astorian, the couple had a cabaret-style ceremony setup, followed by cocktails, dancing, and food served from elegantly mirrored stations, so that guests could “walk around, enjoy the venue and not feel confined to their seats,” Lauren says. “Our inspiration was to create a wedding that was unique, special and unlike anything we had seen before…and I think we nailed it 100 percent!”
