Laura + John
Sometimes you just know, right from the start. That’s how it happened for Laura and John, who “met through mutual friends and immediately fell in love,” the bride says. During a legal conference in England celebrating the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta, John, an attorney, proposed to Laura in a private chapel, filled with English roses, inside Westminster Abbey. Laura, with tears of joy, gave her emphatic, “Yes!” Inspired by England’s rose gardens, the couple celebrated their marriage with “a beautiful wedding on Galveston Island, filled with love, joy, happiness”...and Champagne chandeliers that dropped from the ceiling to fill guests’ glasses with fine bubbly.
