Though their parents had been friends since they were born, neither Kathy nor Jerry, who first met at a casual Happy Hour with friends, figured out that fact until a few dates in to what would turn out to be the courtship of a lifetime. And whether it was fate or a spontaneous connection that brought these two Houstonians together, their Santa Fe, N.M., destination wedding solidified their union in grand style. Following a traditional Catholic ceremony at the opulent Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, the pair joined 175 guests for a glittering celebration “filled with family and friends—you could just feel the love,” the bride notes. The revelers even got to enjoy a “starstruck moment,” she adds: “Actress Michelle Dockery [‘Downton Abbey,’ ‘Good Behavior’] crashed our wedding and hung out and danced along with us!”
