Irene + Christopher
A shot by dating app OkCupid's arrow brought Irene and Christopher together, for a first date on the patio of a Rice Village cafe, where they ended up chatting for hours. Three years later, Christopher proposed to Irene at a beachfront hotel while the two were on vacation in San Diego. The couple tied the knot at the new Hotel ZaZa Memorial City, surrounded by 130 of their closest friends and family members. The décor was elegant, with a modern twist, featuring crystal chandeliers, luxurious white drapery, and a ring-shaped arch adorned with blue majolica roses, dahlias and seeded eucalyptus. A focal point of the decor, the couple's five-tier white and-gold cake, from Susie's Cakes, featured shimmering gold leaf and a clear-box tier holding a cluster of flowers. Notes the bride: "Both the dance floor and photo booth were packed until the reception ended at 11 p.m. Then we had an after-party at the hotel's Tipping Point bar until closing at 2 a.m. Some guests insisted it was the most fun wedding they've ever attended!"
