Allie + Keith
From a fateful Tinder swipe to a surprise proposal at a photo shoot in the groom’s Alabama hometown, Allie counts her courtship with Keith as a total score : “He had lived in Texas for less than a year when we met on Tinder, and I snagged him! His Alabama accent was still quite thick, and it made me fall for him instantly.” But the road to their wedding was paved with deep heartache. As the bride recounts, “I got engaged in December 2016, and lost my father in August 2017. He was 52 years young, and passed away unexpectedly due to a pulmonary embolism right when Hurricane Harvey ended.” Allie mustered all the courage and strength she could to continue planning her wedding in her father’s honor, noting, “I know he wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.” On her wedding day, Allie’s 20-year-old brother walked her down the aisle, where she pledged her love to Keith, before the couple joined their 200 guests for a joyful party filled with Zydeco music (a nod to Allie’s Cajun roots) and dancing long into the night. “The thing that was most important to us was that we had a party wedding,” the bride says, “and between the open bar and the Michael Jackson, we succeeded!” Click here to see Allie and Keith's beautiful wedding video by Reverent Wedding Films.
