Meghan and James first met in eighth grade in The Woodlands. While they shared mutual friends, it wasn’t until adulthood that their paths crossed again. James invited Meghan to his company’s Christmas party as a first date, but it was the heartbreaking loss of a mutual friend that ultimately brought them closer together.
James proposed on a trip to Las Vegas, one of their favorite destinations. The romantic proposal took place at a flower-filled restaurant that left Meghan in awe and inspired her wedding vision.
On April 26, 2025, the couple exchanged vows at Hotel ICON, surrounded by guests from around the world. Meghan spent the morning getting ready in Hotel ICON’s penthouse suite, which features a private rooftop with sweeping views of downtown Houston. As the ceremony began, Meghan planned a memorable surprise for James. A string quartet played “All the Small Things” by Blink-182 as the wedding party walked down the aisle, a sentimental nod to his favorite band.
The reception in Hotel ICON’s ballroom was dreamy and romantic, with pastel florals, candlelight, and a blue-and-white checked dance floor. The soft, powder-blue walls of the space complemented Meghan’s vision of an elegant European countryside wedding. Stationery by Bering’s added a sophisticated yet playful touch.
To end the night on a high note, Meghan surprised James once more with a CO2 tank firing during the dance party, bringing a little Vegas energy to Houston.
