Description

The Downtown Aquarium, centrally located in Downtown Houston, is a spectacular, seven-acre aquatic entertainment and dining complex with more than 600,000 gallons of underwater tanks and 400 species of marine life. But don't let the playful aquatic atmosphere fool you.

The newly renovated Nautilus Ballroom, located on the third floor, transports you to a world of beautiful elegance and refinement. The 50-foot, 50,000 gallon cylindrical tank, the centerpiece of the third floor foyer area, will be the conversation piece as your guests are mesmerized by the teams of silver look-down-jacks that cluster. Artfully hand-painted ceilings and velvet nautilus shell chairs are just a touch of the style experience as your guests enter the ballroom space. This third floor ballroom also features a private wraparound balcony and breathtaking views of the downtown skyline.

“The food, ambiance, service and view are amazing at the Aquarium! Everyone had a great time and are still talking about that night!” - Jamie

“The catering was on-site, and they recommended many vendors for us to choose from for our big day. They also gave us recommendations on nearby hotels for our room blocks and advice on certain details that we were unsure about. She coordinated with our other vendors so that we didn't have to and acted as our wedding coordinator without the cost of hiring one. If I could do it all again, I would pick the Downtown Aquarium just for their hardworking staff and of course the beautiful downtown skyline when night sets in.” - Natalie
