Stacy + Nick
Stacy often visited a wine bar in The Heights to hear "the cute red-headed pianist" (aka Nick) sing and play piano. Until finally, with the help of a little liquid courage, Stacy got Nick's phone number from the bartender and called to ask him out on a date. "Thankfully, instead of being scared of this random stranger calling him, he was intrigued," recounts Stacy. "We met, and the rest is history!" While vacationing in New York City, Nick was ready to pop the question to Stacy, but was waiting for the perfect moment. Should he do it while they were strolling on the High Line? Should he do it in the middle of Chelsea Market?? Finally, he couldn't wait any longer, and proposed to Stacy in their hotel room…with a discreetly placed iPad in the corner recording the whole thing. For their January wedding, the couple chose The Post Oak Hotel as their venue: "I love that The Post Oak Hotel is a dog-friendly venue, and that we could have our little dog (whom we love like a child) as our flower girl," says the bride. Stacy and Nick pledged their love in a traditional Jewish ceremony beneath a chuppah adorned with cascading white orchids and tulips, beautifully designed by Plants N' Petals. Stacy especially cherished being able to celebrate the special day with her mother. "She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer almost three years ago, and at the time, I never thought she'd be around to see me get married," the bride says. "So, having her there and sharing those mother-daughter moments was extra special."
