Selina + Robert
Attorneys Selina and Robert met during the first semester of law school and soon fell in love. Years later, on one Friday-the-13th weekend, after several particularly stressful weeks of work, Robert took Selina on a much-needed getaway to New Orleans, where they sought relaxation and romance at a quaint Champagne bar. Not wanting to risk bad luck, Robert waited until just after midnight to pop the question: "He had coordinated with the bar staff before to have a bottle of Champagne waiting for us. It was perfect," recounts the bride. The couple exchanged vows in a Catholic church ceremony followed by a festive reception at the JW Marriott Houston Downtown featuring modern gold and mauve decor and a Mariachi band. The newlyweds' guests enjoyed a classic two-tier white cake from Cakes By Gina, and had their pick of donuts from a donut wall. And the photos Selina took time to pose for with her tux-wearing pup at her side (and snuggled in her arms, and nestled in her veil)? SO adorable!
