Sara + Austin
Austin met Sara for the first time at a concert in his namesake city, where they were introduced by mutual friends. “Luckily, Austin’s car got towed while we were at the concert, so he had to stay with our friends and me that evening,” Sara says, recalling the instant connection they had. The next day, “When I dropped Austin at his car, he kissed me on the cheek and told me that getting his car towed was worth it because he met me.” Their wedding at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center centered on a modern, romantic design scheme, “bringing in aspects of nature to match the feel of The Woodlands Resort,” Sara notes. Among the couple’s most cherished highlights? “When most of the guests had moved inside and gone upstairs to the reception area, we turned around, looked back at the ceremony space and soaked it all in—the sun going down, the string lights in the trees, the greenery on the pergola with the glass balls hanging down, the lanterns with the floral,” Sara recounts. “It was an emotional and breathtaking moment.”
